About Vedic Village Resort Kolkata
The resort is situated within the exclusive Rajarghat megacity area, at least an hour away from Kolkata city and the rush of the metropolis. It is just 20 minutes from the airport towards Kolkata city and an hour away from the railway station.
Vedic Village Spa Resort is a part of unchanged Bengal, full of life amidst lush green trees and the creatures of the earth. It lies in a land of sparkling lakes, swaying palms, coconut groves, green rice fields, the call of the Koel and the scent of fresh rain upon the earth. In this lap of serenity, lies the sprawling 250 acres of land called Vedic Village. This resort is comparatively new, having been launched sometime around November 2005.
Services & Facilities
The hotel offers added services and facilities for the convenience of the guests. These include laundry, car parking, car rental, valet service, acceptance of credit cards, doctor on call and a travel desk. There is also a Game Room with a pool and billiards table and is a fun space to hang out with family or friends. There is a Lotus shaped swimming pool right behind the lobby. It is open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and is complimentary for in house guests. Attached are separate ladies and gents changing rooms. Sun beds line the pool and right beside are Agnee Bar where you can grab some refreshing drinks.

The Deluxe Villas have wooden flooring with smart rugs which are a juxtaposition of ethnic and contemporary India. There is also a kitchenette and a patio to sun you on. The connected washroom is huge, being the size of Studio rooms which are the lowest category in the hotel. It is a huge marble washroom with a separate glass cubicle for the commode, shower, bathtub, basin and an outdoor area with a shower space literally in the lap of nature. The Deluxe Villas are all lake facing.
DiningThe restaurants in the resort are opened to dramatic landscaped scenery. The menus include farm grown organic food which is pure and nutritious. There is Yagna – The Multi cuisine Restaurant which is situated by the pool side and is open for a buffet breakfast from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, lunch 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and dinner from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Connected to this restaurant is a 24 hour outdoor coffee shop which has a comprehensive multi cuisine menu. Agnee is the bar next to the pool with a separate outdoor and indoor space and offers a delectable choice of snacks and liquors. The outdoor extension is right beside the pool. It is on a stone podium, at a slight height and has a raw yes sophisticated look with wooden benches and tables that look like rickshaws with the bases in the shape of wheels. Finally, there is Bhoomi the Bengali cuisine specialty restaurant that has a separate entrance from the rest of the resort. Bhoomi is a lovely space with mud exteriors and interiors and thatched roofs with bamboo and straw. It is an enchanting little space with wooden tables and chairs. Bhoomi is only open for dinner from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The food here is to die for!
Banquets & Conferences:- The conferencing facilities in the hotel are plenty and offer a wide choice. There is Om 1, Om 2, Om 3 & Om 4. Om 1 has an attached lawn and pre function hall. All the conference halls supply basic equipment but audio visual equipment is supplied at an extra charge.
Spa & Health:- The high point in this hotel is the Sanjeeva Spa. It is the new and exciting concept in health care. It combines the most effective treatments from various fields to form a unique and effective healing experience. The spa offers two types of treatments which are Ayurveda and Naturopathy & Yoga. This spa is one of the best in India and the treatments here are inexhaustible. There is also a pharmacy section here with Ayurvedic medicines for treatments and on sale.
